On behalf of the APPG Blockchain Chair Martin Docherty-Hughes MP, and the Secretariat at Big Innovation Centre, we would like to invite you to our Evidence Meeting on SUSTAINABILITY & CLIMATE CHANGE.
 
Questions to inspire:
Can Blockchain ensure sustainability in energy use, or is it causing a sustainability crisis?
  • Can Blockchain help to solve the climate change crises and more efficient use of natural resources? (Land, oceans, air)
  • How can data mining on blockchains become sustainable or ‘green’? (e.g., ‘green data’ where heat from server parks and mining fuel smarts grids)
  • What are other sustainability issues associated with Blockchains? E.g., carbon emission trade using blockchain.
Format:
 There will be 4 to 8 formal Evidence Givers.
There will also be an opportunity to share your opinion and raise practical questions.
