Angela Rideau

Head of Learning Lab

London, UK

As Head of Learning Lab at Big Innovation Centre, I am always curious to learn more and push the boundaries of learning using emerging technologies. I design and lead the execution of our online professional development strategy including our platform-based courses, executive workshops, and other online or physical learning elements. This also includes co-designing and setting up new professional programmes at Big Innovation Centre, managing new learners and clients, as well as project managing and maintaining our professional programmes. I also help to convert our knowledge base of videos and reports to professional development programmes.

My experience lies within almost a decade in Further Education and Higher Education as a business lecturer and now in technology-enhanced learning as an educational technology specialist and project manager. This includes holding e-learning manager/coordinator posts at Windsor Forest College Group & Berkshire College of Agriculture; Barnet and Southgate College; Leicester College and De Montfort University (DMU) and Regent college, as well as team manager/business lecturer at Ealing Hammersmith & West London College.

My own educational background includes a Certificate in Observation of Learning and Teaching from the University of Westminster; a PGCE Post-compulsory Education (specialism in ESOL) from the University of Wolverhampton, a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (C.E.L.T.A.) from Aston University and BA (Hons) Tourism and Business Management from the University of Birmingham.

I love helping people use digital tools to influence how we work, learn and interact in the digital world.
